Not every frame wants color. Some want structure, contrast, and mood without hue competing for attention.

Keep color when

  • Hue is part of the subject (neon, fabric, weather)
  • Time of day is the message (warm dusk, cold rain)

Go mono when

  • Gesture and geometry matter more than palette
  • Skin tones or mixed light distract from the story

Try both exports side by side. The stronger print usually announces itself within seconds.
