Understanding Natural Light
How window light, overcast skies, and golden hour shape mood before you touch the shutter.

Light is the real subject. Before composition or gear, watch how brightness falls across a face or a wall.
Window light
Side light from a window is forgiving and directional. Move the subject inches closer or farther and the contrast changes completely.
Overcast days
Clouds act like a giant softbox. Colors stay quiet; textures stay readable. Ideal for street details and portraits without harsh shadows.
Practice: spend one hour shooting only with available light and no flash. Note where you stop, and why.
